Loved this line in Gail Collin’s column, “The Breast Brouhaha” in the New York Times:
I have never believed that everything happens for a reason. But I do feel very strongly that everything happens so that it can be turned into a column.
Brilliant! I was a columnist for the Arizona Daily Wildcat (the student newspaper at the University of Arizona) for two semesters, and when I was writing a weekly column, I felt the same way. And now, it seems as if everything that happens to me, happens so I can use it a job interview as a “growth experience.” Go figure!
